Clayton Staton

Clayton Staton - Founder & President

Clayton Staton is the Founder and President of The Cadet Corps. He has 33 years of combine military and civilian law enforcement experience. He is a United States Naval Veteran and served as a Senior Master-At-Arms at the Naval Biodynamics Laboratory on the facilities of NASA. He was later assigned to sea patrol within the navigation department aboard a fast attack nuclear-powered submarine. After being honorably discharged from active duty, he joined the U.S. Army Reserve where he served as the Training Officer for the 812th Military Police Company where he was responsible for training hundreds of soldiers.

Clayton is also a retired 23 year veteran of the New Jersey State Police. He served at several road duty stations and units including Community Policing, Metro North High Crimes Patrol, Emergency Management, Recruiting, Victim Services, Executive Protection and Equal Employment Opportunity. Clayton trained thousands of sworn and non-sworn New Jersey State Police employees as the EEO Training Officer. Additionally, he supervised Detective Sergeants in Internal Affairs, and his last assignment was the Assistant Unit Head of the Staff Inspection Unit which is responsible for conducting all best police practices unit and road duty station inspections. 

Clayton is presently a New Jersey Certified Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) Instructor. He is also the Regimental Duty Officer at Maritime College where cadets are trained to be Merchant Mariners or Naval Officers. Additionally, he manages The Cadet Corps in several states, which includes Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. He has received several awards for The Cadet Corps Programs which includes the State of New Jersey Governors Volunteerism Award and the State of New Jersey American Legion Trooper of The Year Award.

Clayton completed leadership schools in the United States Navy and the New Jersey State Police. He has an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Passaic County Community College, a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Peter's College, and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University.

Clayton is a member of the United States Submarine Veterans Association, Former Troopers Association, and the American Society Industrial Security International. Additionally, he is a Self-published science fiction author of, "Dayton The Beginning of The Apocalypse."  

Clayton has dedicated the rest of his life to work with our nations children.
